The company address at the gauge of the pump allows us to date it 1876-1878, the only 2 years Siebe, Gorman & Co was situated at this address. The pump has a very low serial number: #143 which is stamped in both the wooden box and the crank shaft. Considering its age the pump is in a remarkable good condition(!). This model is known as the 'Baby' pump, it is the smallest pump ever built by Siebe Gorman, also it is the lightest pump which was achieved by bolting its crank directly into the wood of the box, it has no cast iron frame inside. The wooden box however was made stronger by using thicker brass enforcement strips at the corners of the box.

Condition: see photo's. Price at request.
