These Keys will be shipped brand new (old stock) sealed in the original german army wrappers. Each Draeger Diving Set came with 2 of these keys (see photographs) which were used to couple the air-hoses, coupling the air-hose to the helmet, or coupling the hoses of the DM40 or DM20 rebreather back packs to the helmet. The keys have the Draegerwerk logo cast in them: a ‘must have’ for all Draeger helmet owners! Price 30 euro per set of 2 keys, plus shipping.

Genuine German DRAEGER Helmet Keys

Some 12 years Rob Krul and myself we started up some projects here in Holland. We built ‘Rouquayrol-Denayrouze’ regulator backpacks, followed by a small series of ‘Denayrouze Snout-Masks’. After that we built some German Regulator back-packs which are all made of Brass, and last year a small series of Denayrouze Divers lamps were made. Just like the regulators and the mask also the lamp is a fully functional museum quality replica. Also it is a very impressive piece of craftsmanship: the lamp weights almost 15 kilo and is 62 cm’s high, which is higher then a diving helmet. Price on request.

Important: it is not guaranteed that a set with holes will fit perfectly, they may need some adjustment anyway.

Old German Cuff Expanders

Original cast iron ‘sitting-weight’ for the Draeger Diving Apparatus. An interesting solution to put weights on a diver: where other manufacturers have most of the weight at the level of the divers chest, Draeger spread the weight by putting this weight as a seat between the divers legs where it was hanging on the jock-strap. This triangular shaped model appears at illustrations in the 1946 catalogue. Before and after a different, more rounded shaped Model was illustrated: the one shown here below ( Sitzgewicht 2 ) It may be that the design was temporarily changed during the second world war. Price 150 euro plus shipping

Draeger ‘Sitzgewicht’ 1

Original cast iron ‘sitting-weight’ for the Draeger Diving Apparatus. An interesting solution to put weights on a diver: where other manufacturers have most of the weight at the level of the divers chest, making him ‘top-heavy’, Draeger spread the weight by putting this weight as a seat between the divers legs where it was hanging on the jock-strap. This rounded shaped model appears at illustrations in the catalogues and manuals before the second world war. In the 1946 catalogue a different, more triangular shaped Model was illustrated: the one shown here above ( Sitzgewicht 1 ) It may be that the design was changed during the second world war. But the last batches of sitting weights which were made by Draeger to go with the last copper helmets and the DM200 / DM220 all look like this early version with the round shapes. Price 150 euro plus shipping

Developed in the 1920's for the Badetauchretter and the Leichttauchgerät by Dräger. A great alternative to the very heavy hard hat shoes: Dräger Tauchersandalen. I often use these myself when diving with a helmet: very comfortable.

Single Italian Galeazzi Shoe, old stock / unused

First pair of this kind I ever came across. Looking quite interesting even though most of the leather uppers need replacement. These shoes were issued to the 'shallow water' divers who used the so called 'Sladen' suits which were also known as 'Clammy Death' suits. With the shoes I can provide a scan of the original Siebe Gorman drawing showing the leather upper of this shoe. Price: €325,- plus shipping

Genuine Dräger 'Bubikopf' Helmet, manufactured during the early 1940's. The sidewindows of the helmet have been repaired with new parts: both glasses were broken when the helmet came in.

Rare and beautiful Dräger 'Bubikopf'(1)

The style of the side window grills on this helmet matches those on early A.Siebe helmets. This helmet is however repaired many times, it must have spent decades under water. Never saw one exactly like it and can not confirm its identity, my best guess is that at some stage a helmet was repaired with either genuine A.Siebe parts or an A.Siebe helmet was repaired with other parts. Considering its age it still is a rare find. Price on request.

Made during the second world war for the German Wehrmacht: a very nice condition HAGENUK helmet. Most German diving helmets which appear on the market had these military markings stamped in them after the war so they fetch higher prices from collectors of war time memorabilia, this helmet however is absolutely genuine: I bought this helmet in the 1990's in Russia and the seller had not even noticed it had these markings. It spent many years in a collection in France until the owner contacted me recently with the request to sell his helmet for him. I will soon be able to take better photo's of it, for now I list some old photo's from back then. Price on request

Rare WW2 German Wehrmacht HAGENUK Helmet

French or German divers knife with belt

Nice used condition. Since German manufacturers initially started reproducing French diving equipment it is sometimes dfficult to tell if an unsigned item is French or German made. This knife is such an example: it is a genuine old knife, complete with sheath and leather belt but since there is no makers name it is hard to tell if it is either French or German.

Heinke 6 Bolt Divers Helmet

Made during the second world war or in the years just after, a Heinke '6 bolt helmet. Until then Siebe Gorman was sole supplier to the Admiralty but when their factory was bombed out by the Luftwaffe they could no longer supply the military and also Heinke was allowed to supply 6 bolt helmets. Siebe Gorman helmets have a breastplate made of copper sheath and brass fittings, Heinke manufactured their 6 bolt helmet with a heavy cast gun metal breastplate. These helmets have been manufactured in very small numbers only. Condition: see photo's. Price on request

French Denayrouze - René Piel Diving Helmet

Early René Piel (Denayrouze) Diving Helmet with acoustic telephone installed. Bonnet only. Very nice condition: see photo's. Price €2650-  plus shipping.

The last couple of days this lot was marked 'Reserved' because of a customer from Parker Colorado 80138 who offered me a prepayment and asked for shipping costs.

I refused the prepayment, promised to reserve the lot and contacted three shippers. The best offer worked out at €1050,- door to door from Amsterdam, Holland to Colorado USA. Even though this was far less then the $1500,- usd the buyer from Colorado had expected it would cost him at least, he never replied to the emails sent to him.

Still I think it is interesting to indicate with this listing that shipping its 600 kilo is not impossible and in my opinion even quite reasonable.
